The “E_pty Spaces” series grew out of the sudden emptiness of lockdowns. My artworks are a glimpse into a possible performance that couldn’t take place because of the circumstances.

These scenes not only helped me to cope with the uncertainties of the commodities, but brought me pleasure, as a play would in a theatre which I wanted to share with the viewer. And when the lockdowns lifted I continued to play this game to sout out that joy it gives me. Because why else would we create games and projects for ourselves, if not to have fun and to help them pass through life.

The covid years started it, but the joy of the game made me continue it.

What could have played out here if that couple wouldn’t have argued in that bar.

What could have been if that old person would have told their stories, their life learnings and someone would have listened, instead of sitting in the corner quietly.

What could have happened if you took that left turn, instead of right that night on your way

home. What if that person finally gives me the recognition I deserve, oh what if I would have taken that action in that moment, oh what if I would have painted that painting, which sold for record 94 million in sotheby, oh what if Elon Musk wouldn’t have been born, what if I said no in that situation and kept my boundaries.

The artworks are a stage for this game, where I invite you all to play.
